This 2015 Tristan da Cunha one pound coin was issued to commemorate the Longest Reigning Monarch. The coin is struck in a silver-coloured metal with a proof finish, exhibiting mirrored fields and frosted relief. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II 2015 TDC. The reverse design incorporates a central crown motif surrounded by five medallions containing royal monograms, including those of Queen Victoria, King George V, and King George VI, with the monogram of Queen Elizabeth II at the base. The reverse legend reads HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1952 ONE POUND 2015. The coin is housed in a protective clear plastic capsule with a black foam insert.
Condition report:
Brilliant uncirculated proof condition. The coin exhibits high lustre, clean mirrored fields, and sharp frosted relief. No visible signs of wear, toning, or handling to the coin itself. The protective plastic capsule shows minor surface scuffing.
