A pair of George V 925 silver trumpet-shaped bud vases by B. Muller and Son. Each vase is designed with a slender, tapering body featuring a central knop and a flared, scalloped rim. The vases are supported by circular pedestal bases that are weighted for stability. The hallmarks are struck to the upper flared section of each body and comprise the maker’s mark BM and S, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and the lowercase date letter u for 1919.
Gross weight: 260g (including weighted bases).
Condition report:
The vases are in good overall condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is visible surface tarnishing and minor scuffs to the silver. One vase shows a small indentation to the lower part of the tapering body. The weighted bases remain secure.
