A collection of cast metal animal figurines including a seated cat, a Highland cow, a rhinoceros, and a waterfowl. The seated cat is cast in a yellow metal, likely brass, with stylised features and upright ears. The Highland cow figure features a textured shaggy coat and forward-curved horns, presented with a dark patinated finish. The rhinoceros is depicted with skin folds characteristic of an Indian rhino. The waterfowl figure, resembling a duck or swan, includes incised wing detail. All items are produced by casting and display surface patination consistent with age. No maker’s marks were identified during inspection.
Condition report:
The figurines exhibit an aged surface patina with varying degrees of tarnish and oxidation. The cat figure shows more prominent surface wear and darkening, particularly to the head and ears. Minor surface marks and dust accumulation are present in the recessed details of the rhinoceros and waterfowl. No structural damage or signs of restoration are visible.
