A gold-toned metal commemorative medal suspended from a braided yellow and green cord. The medal is designed with a laurel wreath border surrounding a circular central medallion. The obverse features a shooting sports motif, depicting crossed rifles beneath a bullseye target, accented with oak leaf clusters. The reverse contains a shield-shaped polished area with engraved German text that reads Westdeutscher Meister, A-Junioren, 98/99, and KFC UERDINGEN. A small maker’s mark consisting of a copyright symbol followed by the initials J.M. is present on the reverse. This medal was awarded to commemorate KFC Uerdingen 05 winning the West German Championship in the Under-19 (A-Junioren) category during the 1998/1999 season. The presence of a shooting-themed design on the obverse indicates the use of a standard medal blank for this football achievement.
Condition report:
The medal shows light surface wear and minor scratches consistent with age. There are small areas of oxidation visible on the metal surfaces, particularly around the edges and on the reverse. The braided cord is in good condition with no significant fraying.
