A set of tea knives featuring 925 silver handles and stainless steel blades. The handles are designed in a classic Art Deco style, featuring a scalloped, waisted form with scrolled terminals. The set is housed in its original black leatherette presentation case, which is lined with deep blue velvet at the base and gathered cream silk or satin to the interior lid. The handles bear British hallmarks including the crown for Sheffield, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the lowercase letter h in a shield-shaped cartouche, corresponding to the year 1925.
Condition report:
The 925 silver handles show a natural patina and light surface tarnishing consistent with age and use. The steel blades appear clean with only minor surface scratches. The presentation case displays typical signs of wear to the exterior leatherette, while the interior fabrics remain well-preserved and intact.
