An assortment of purses and wallets accompanied by a vintage sewing box. The rectangular sewing basket features woven-style sides and a padded lid upholstered in a floral tapestry-style fabric with a palette of muted greens, creams, and pinks. The lid is secured with a single button-loop closure and has side handles. The interior is lined in a peach-coloured satin-effect fabric and includes a built-in pincushion and an elasticated storage pocket on the inner lid. The box contains various sewing notions, including threads, a tomato-shaped pincushion, needles, a tape measure, and assorted haberdashery items.
The collection of purses and wallets includes a large red zip-around continental-style wallet with a quilted exterior accented by silver-tone metal studs; a soft cream leather pouch featuring braided leather tassel details to the front; a small zippered coin purse made from green cotton canvas with a repeating white hedgehog print; a rectangular magenta leather wallet with a tab and popper closure; and a slim tan leather wallet or card holder.
Condition report:
The items are in mixed, used condition. The sewing box shows typical signs of age, with some light discolouration and wear to the fabric lid. The red quilted wallet and cream leather pouch appear in generally good used condition. The magenta leather wallet shows heavy surface wear, significant scuffing, and loss of finish to the leather. The remaining items show standard signs of previous use.
