This is a contemporary handcrafted folding side table, featuring decorative Lichtenberg fractal patterns. The rectangular top is crafted from solid wood with a grain pattern consistent with oak, finished with rounded corners. These fractal designs, created using high-voltage electricity, have been infilled with a black resin or epoxy to create a level surface. The decorative burning extends to the outer faces of the folding X-frame base. The lower horizontal stretcher bears a handwritten inscription, appearing to begin with the characters S O S, though the remaining script is not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The table appears to be in good used condition. The fractal patterns and resin infill are intentional design elements. There is minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with occasional use.
