This lot comprises two items of memorabilia relating to the British boxer Chris Eubank. The first item is a framed and glazed promotional poster for a Sporting Dinner event titled SIMPLY THE BEST – FIGHT NIGHT. The event was promoted by Keith Walker of Walkers Boxing Promotions and held at Le MERIDIEN Queens Hotel, Leeds, on Monday 2nd December 2002. The poster identifies Chris Eubank as the Guest of Honour and features images of boxers Danny Thornton and Lee Murtagh. The poster bears two signatures in black marker pen: a stylised signature for Chris Eubank across the centre and another across the name of Danny Thornton. The item is housed in a black frame with a cream-coloured mount. The second item is a hardback copy of EUBANK THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY by Chris Eubank with Martin Roach, published by CollinsWillow. The title page is signed in black ink with a stylised signature. The dust jacket features a black and white photographic portrait of the boxer.
Condition report:
The framed poster is in good overall condition, though it has not been inspected outside of the frame. The autobiography shows typical shelf wear and light scuffing to the edges and corners of the dust jacket. No third-party certificates of authenticity are provided for the signatures.
