A clear glass spherical paperweight featuring a maritime-themed internal design. The central core consists of a swirled turquoise blue and white glass composition, evocative of ocean waves. Positioned above the swirl are two white lampwork seagulls in flight, detailed with red accents at the beaks and feet. The central arrangement is encircled by seven controlled air bubbles of uniform size. The entire composition is encased within a thick body of clear glass. This piece is characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative studio glass, often associated with Murano or Scandinavian production. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the body or the base.
Condition report:
The paperweight is in good overall condition. The glass remains clear with no observed chips, cracks, or internal bruising. Light surface wear consistent with age and use may be present on the underside of the base.
