The collection is in poor to fair condition with significant signs of age and wear throughout. Notable issues include detached and peeling spines, frayed corners, and heavy sun-fading to the cloth. The Dickens volume is missing a significant portion of the upper spine, revealing the underlying binding structure. Gilt decoration is faded or lost in places. The volumes show overall structural fragility and heavy handling wear consistent with age.
