This set comprises three graduated jugs manufactured by Mason’s Patent Ironstone in the Mandalay pattern. Each vessel is of octagonal, faceted Hydra form and features an ornate scroll handle. The Imari-style decoration consists of vibrant polychrome floral sprays in shades of pink, orange, yellow, and green, set against a cream-coloured ground. The design is further enhanced with rich cobalt blue scrolled details and hand-applied gilded highlights to the rims and handles. The underside of each piece bears the printed factory mark in brown featuring a crown above a banner inscribed PATENT IRONSTONE with MASON’S above and Mandalay ENGLAND below. Hand-painted marks including a blue D, a red X, and the pattern number C4827 are also present.

Condition report:
All three jugs exhibit visible all-over crazing to the glaze, which is common for ironstone of this type. No significant chips, cracks, or professional repairs are visible.
