A collection of UK cupro-nickel 50 pence coins from the 2016-2017 Beatrix Potter commemorative series. The lot includes heptagonal coins featuring reverse designs celebrating the life and works of the author, with inscriptions for Beatrix Potter 1866-1943, Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Tom Kitten, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, Benjamin Bunny, and The Tale of Peter Rabbit. The coins are presented in a dedicated fold-out “2016-2017 UK 50p Coin Collectors ALBUM” featuring themed watercolour illustrations of stone cottages and woodland animals.
Condition report:
The coins appear to be in brilliant uncirculated condition, displaying sharp strike details and high original mint luster. There is no visible circulation wear. The presentation album is in good order with only minor shelf wear to the corners and edges.
