Description
This lot comprises a collection of United Kingdom philatelic items and royal memorabilia. It includes a presentation pack titled The Silver Jubilee of The Queens Accession containing stamps with monograms and the Machin head profile in denominations of 8 1/2p, 10p, 11p, and 13p. Also present are multiple folders for the 25th Anniversary of the Coronation featuring stamps depicting royal regalia in denominations of 9p, 10 1/2p, 11p, and 13p. The stamps are photogravure printed on perforated paper and housed in original presentation mounts. The collection is accompanied by a red commemorative lithographed metal tin featuring a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscription LONG MAY SHE REIGN. An assortment of illustrated ephemera cards is also included.
Condition report:
Stamps appear in mint never hinged (MNH) condition as issued in their original presentation packs. Centring is generally good across all issues. The presentation folders and outer packaging show minor signs of shelf wear and handling consistent with age. The commemorative tin exhibits surface scuffs, minor paint loss, and light oxidation. The ephemera cards show signs of age-toning and light handling wear to the corners.
