Description
A 20th-century Indian-made Gurkha style kukri. The single-edged, forward-curving steel blade is decorated with punched and incised floral patterns and features a traditional cho notch. The ricasso is stamped INDIA in capital letters. The hilt is composed of polished dark horn or hardwood with white metal inlaid dots and a central band, finished with a white metal pommel plate embossed with a lion head. The wooden scabbard is leather-bound with geometric incised decoration and fitted with a pierced white metal throat and chape. Includes one karda companion knife with a matching hilt.

Blade length: 23 cm.
Condition report:
The blade shows surface oxidation, pitting, and light rust concentrated towards the tip. The hilt is in good condition with minor surface wear. The leather scabbard exhibits scuffing, scratches, and wear to the belt loop consistent with age. Metal fittings are tarnished. One accessory, the chakmak, is missing from the scabbard.
