A 925 silver ring is set with a single cabochon Blue John stone, displaying characteristic purple, cream, and translucent banding with dark internal inclusions. The ring is incised with the mark 925. Blue John is a rare variety of fluorite found exclusively in the Castleton area of Derbyshire, England.
