Description
A wide pine chest of eight drawers in a contemporary country style. The piece is constructed from solid pine with characteristic knots and a clear varnished finish. The drawer configuration consists of eight drawers of equal size arranged in two vertical columns of four. Each drawer is fitted with a single centrally positioned rectangular pine block handle. The chest is currently mounted on four swivel castors. The drawer construction is not visible internally to confirm joinery methods, but the design is consistent with late 20th-century mass-produced domestic furniture.
Condition report:
The item is in fair used condition. There are visible surface scratches, scuffs, and minor indentations to the top and side panels consistent with domestic use. The top-right drawer appears slightly misaligned on its runners. The castors are likely an aftermarket addition.
