Description
A circular hinged pill box crafted from 925 silver. The lid is ornamented with a central round blue cabochon, appearing to be lapis lazuli, which is bezel-set and framed by a twisted rope-style wire border. The surrounding lid surface is embellished with scrolling wirework filigree and small applied silver spheres. The box features a hinged lid with a spherical thumbpiece and a plain, light-coloured interior. The overall construction and decorative elements are characteristic of Balinese silver handiwork.
Condition report:
The item exhibits surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age and use. The hinge is operational and the central stone remains secure within its setting. There are no significant dents or structural damage.
