Description
A large-scale decorative sculpture of a seated cat, hand-carved from solid wood. The figure is rendered in an upright, seated posture with detailed facial features including large carved eyes, a defined snout with whisker markings, and a slightly upturned mouth. The sculpture displays a prominent natural grain throughout the body, with darker stained accents applied to the ears, nose, paws, and tail to provide contrast. This style of large animal carving is characteristic of late 20th-century decorative imports from Southeast Asia.
