Description
A Kodak Brownie Six-20 Model C box camera, manufactured in England by Kodak Limited. The camera is constructed with a rectangular metal body finished in a textured black leatherette covering. The front faceplate features an Art Deco-influenced design with vertical linear detailing and is inscribed with the text Brownie SIX-20 CAMERA Model C and MADE IN ENGLAND BY KODAK LIMITED. It incorporates a central fixed-focus meniscus lens and two integrated waist-level viewfinders for both portrait and landscape framing. A shutter release plunger is located on the top edge. A remaining portion of a leather handle is embossed with the word KODAK. The lot includes a fitted black carrying case with a textured exterior.
Condition report:
The camera is in fair vintage condition with significant dust present. Minor oxidation and associated paint loss are visible on the metal components and faceplate edges. The leather top handle is severed, with only the attachment point remaining. The leatherette covering exhibits surface wear consistent with age. Viewfinder and taking lenses appear dusty and have not been internally cleaned or assessed for clarity. The shutter mechanism has not been tested for operation. The carrying case shows heavy surface wear, dust, and general age-related deterioration.
