Description
A vintage Swiss-made rectangular dress watch by the manufacturer Sicura. The timepiece features a gold-plated base metal case with a vertical textured bark finish and a stainless steel snap-on case back. The silvered sunburst dial is configured with Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions and baton indices for the remaining hours. The dial is signed SICURA and 17 JEWELS. It is powered by a 17-jewel manual wind mechanical movement. The watch is fitted with a brown suede-effect leather strap and a gold-tone pin buckle. The reverse of the case is stamped ALL SWISS MADE and carries the reference number 9530.
Condition report:
The watch is in fair vintage condition. The gold plating on the case shows significant wear and loss, particularly on the corners, edges, and lugs, where the base metal and oxidation are visible. The acrylic crystal has multiple surface scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use. The dial remains in relatively good condition with minor signs of ageing. The movement is untested and the functional condition is unknown.
