Description
A pair of professional-grade mechanical road measuring wheels, identified as the Trumeter 5000 Series and branded for York Road Measuring Equipment. Each unit features a galvanised metal shaft with a black plastic pistol-grip handle and a high-visibility yellow plastic housing for the mechanical counter. The large-diameter black spoked wheels are fitted with solid grey rubber tyres. These instruments operate via a mechanical drive linkage from the wheel hub to a five-digit analogue display calibrated to measure in metres. Each unit is equipped with a spring-loaded folding mechanism for compact transport and an integrated metal kickstand. The counter housings are labelled with York Road Measuring Equipment and Trumeter branding. One unit includes a small identification sticker numbered 28043. A yellow warning label on the shaft bracket includes the text AS CLEANING IS CHARGEABLE.
Condition report:
Both units are in used condition showing signs of typical outdoor work site use. There is accumulated dirt and surface wear to the wheels and tyres. The metal shafts show minor surface scuffing and light oxidation. Plastic components, including the counter housings and handles, remain structurally sound. The mechanical counters appear to operate when the wheels are turned, though they have not been tested for calibration or accuracy. No cases or original packaging are present.
