Description
A Bermuda commemorative one dollar coin dated 1996, struck in 925 silver. The coin features a proof finish with frosted devices and mirrored fields. The obverse displays the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with inscriptions BERMUDA, ELIZABETH II, and 1996. The reverse features the 1937 coronation portrait of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Inscriptions on the reverse read QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER, THE CORONATION OF GEORGE VI, 1937, and ONE DOLLAR. The coin was issued to mark the 60th anniversary of the 1937 coronation. The piece is presented in a clear plastic capsule.
