Description
A sterling silver cocktail ring featuring a prominent rectangular cabochon gemstone. The stone is a bicolour specimen of Blue John, a rare variety of fluorite found in Derbyshire, England, displaying characteristic translucent amber-yellow and deep purple banding with internal iridescence. The gemstone is held in a rub-over bezel setting on a plain, polished tapering shank. The interior of the shank is stamped with the fineness mark 925 for sterling silver alongside a maker’s mark depicting an infinity symbol.
Ring size: UK S (US 9 1/4).
Condition report:
The ring is in good used condition with light surface scratches and minor scuffs to the silver setting and shank. The Blue John cabochon shows some minor surface wear and natural internal veil-like inclusions.
