Description
A pair of vintage brass pedestal mugs of baluster form. Each mug features a flared rim and a tulip-shaped body supported by a circular spreading pedestal base. The pieces are fitted with cast C-scroll handles. One mug is decorated with a hand-engraved floral motif to the front, while the other is plain. The construction indicates the bodies were spun or turned. No maker marks or inscriptions are visible on either item.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit significant surface wear, oxidation, and pitting consistent with age and domestic use. There is visible tarnish and discolouration to the interior surfaces.
