Lot 191:
Description
This collection comprises six framed contemporary artworks, primarily executed in watercolour and ink on white wove paper. The subject matter is varied, featuring whimsical figurative studies in a naive style, including a triptych of characters in yellow coats and a figure on a hill. Also included is an elongated fine-line architectural study of a townscape, a row of abstracted figures in fluid purple and blue watercolour washes, and a landscape study in cool blue and green tones. The artistic styles range from detailed ink-and-wash architectural drawing to atmospheric, impressionistic watercolour techniques. No signatures or dates are visible on the face of the works. The collection is presented in a selection of modern frames, including light oak, black, white, and grey-painted wood, all featuring clean white or off-white mounts.
Condition report:
The artworks and their frames appear to be in good overall condition, showing no significant signs of fading, foxing, toning, or water damage. The mounts are clean and free from acid staining. The frames are structurally sound with minor superficial wear consistent with handling.
