Description
A large scale wooden model of the HMS Agamemnon, a 64-gun third-rate ship of the line, constructed in the style of Old Modern Handicrafts. The model features a multi-tiered wooden hull with a natural finish, showcasing numerous gun ports with protruding blackened metal cannons. It is outfitted with complex standing and running rigging using black and white cordage, presented without sails. Decorative elements include a gilded figurehead depicting a classical warrior, three ornate stern lanterns, and detailed quarter galleries with multi-paned windows. The deck is populated with various fittings including hatches, gratings, and capstans. The name AGAMEMNON is inscribed across the ornate stern transom. The ship is mounted on a stepped rectangular wooden display plinth.

Condition report:
