Description
A contemporary fine bone china vase produced for the British tea merchant Ringtons. The vessel is of square-sectioned baluster form featuring a short, flared neck and a gilded rim. The body is decorated with a blue transfer-printed Willow Story pattern, a variation of the traditional Blue Willow design, depicting an Oriental-style landscape with pagodas, a bridge with figures, willow trees, and a river. The upper shoulder and base are finished with patterned borders. The underside features a blue transfer-printed maker’s mark consisting of a circular logo with a horse-drawn delivery cart and the text: Willow Story Vase, Exclusively Produced for RINGTONS Fine Bone China.

Condition report:
The vase is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The blue transfer print is crisp and the gilding on the rim shows no significant signs of wear. There is minor shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim consistent with age and use.
