Description
A framed and mounted limited edition print titled Hill Gets Hungary by the British motoring artist Tony Smith. The artwork depicts British driver Damon Hill in the Williams FW17-Renault V10 crossing the finish line to secure victory at the 1995 Hungarian Grand Prix. The car is rendered in the blue, white, and gold Rothmans livery, with a race official waving the chequered flag in the foreground and a crowded grandstand in the background. The print features a printed signature within the image reading Tony Smith 95 to the lower left and is hand-signed in pencil to the lower right margin Tony Smith. A printed monochrome remarque sketch depicting a pit stop scene with a Williams car and crew is located in the lower left margin. The piece is hand-numbered in pencil to the lower right corner as part of an edition of 600. Centred in the lower margin is the title and a historical summary of the race held on 13 August 1995. The print is presented in an off-white mount with a gold-tone inner border and housed in a contemporary silver-toned metal frame.
