Description
A 925 silver pendant necklace featuring a single oval-cut pale blue stone. The stone is secured in a bezel setting and framed by a broad, gadrooned border with a rope-twist design. The pendant is attached to a large, decorative bail with a cast foliate or fleur-de-lis motif. The stone’s colour and clarity are suggestive of blue topaz or aquamarine. The pendant is suspended from a 925 silver rope chain of Italian manufacture. The chain is fitted with a lobster claw clasp and a metal tag stamped 925 and ITALY.
Stone: approximately 12mm x 10mm.
Condition report:
The necklace is in good auctionable condition. There is visible natural patination and tarnishing to the silver, particularly within the recessed areas of the textured border and decorative bail. The stone appears well-set and is free of significant surface abrasions. The clasp is in functional order.
