Description
A pair of numismatic items comprising a Bank of England Series D one-pound banknote and a 1997 United Kingdom one-pound coin, presented in a commemorative philatelic-numismatic cover (PNC). The banknote features the signature of Chief Cashier J. B. Page and bears the serial number 43W 005848. The coin is struck in nickel-brass with the three lions passant guardant reverse. The cover is franked with a Carrickfergus Castle postage stamp and a special commemorative postmark from Bank of England – London EC2 dated 2 March 1997. This presentation folder is hand-numbered 3623 from a stated edition limit of 6,000.
Condition report:
The banknote and coin appear in uncirculated condition as issued. The card presentation folder exhibits minor age-related toning and foxing along the lower right edge.
