Description
A mid-to-late 20th-century advertising mirror for Chivas Regal Blended Scotch Whisky. The mirror features multi-coloured graphic text and decorative scrollwork. The central design includes a coat of arms flanked by the phrases Supplied to the and Royal Household. Printed text includes Scotlands Prince of Whiskies, Chivas Regal, 12 Year Old, Founded 1801, and Blended Scotch Whisky. The base is marked Chivas Brothers Ltd Distillers Aberdeen Scotland. The glass is housed in a dark-stained wooden frame with a decorative fluted profile.
Height: approximately 60 cm.
Condition report:
The mirror and graphics are in generally good condition. There is evidence of minor silvering loss and foxing to the mirrored backing around the edges, particularly visible in the lower right and top corners. The wooden frame shows some light surface scuffing and wear consistent with age and use.
