Description
A set of souvenir coasters titled Nostalgic Sheffield, produced by Hedgerow Publishing Ltd of 325 Abbeydale Road, Sheffield (Reference: CBSET NS1). Each coaster features a high-gloss, heat-resistant upper surface printed with a sepia-toned historical photographic scene of Sheffield. The collection includes depictions of Moorhead c. 1904, Broomhill c. 1902, High Street c. 1895, Fargate c. 1902, Cutlery Forge c. 1900, and The Wicker c. 1907. The coasters are cork-backed for surface protection. The set is housed in its original manufacturer box lid, which displays the maker logo and local Sheffield contact information.
Condition report:
The coasters appear in good condition with minimal signs of use to the gloss surfaces. The original box lid shows minor shelf wear and light rubbing to the edges consistent with age.
