Description
A decorative figurine produced under the By Michelangelo brand, rendered in the Capodimonte style. The scene depicts two elderly fishermen navigating a small wooden boat with tattered sails through choppy waves. One figure is seated smoking a pipe, while the other leans over the gunwale; a small wicker basket containing three fish is situated at their feet. The piece is crafted from painted cold-cast resin with a matte finish and is mounted upon a polished dark wood-effect base. A small, oval, gold-toned plaque is attached to the side of the base, featuring the cursive script inscription By Michelangelo.
25 cm (H) x 26 cm (W) x 18 cm (D).
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the resin figures, the boat, or the sail structures. Some light surface dust is present within the recessed areas of the moulding.
