Description
A Victorian style five-stone ring crafted from 9 carat yellow gold. The boat-shaped head is set with three graduated round-cut rubies of a pinkish-red hue, alternating with two old-cut diamonds. The central ruby is the largest of the group, flanked by the diamonds and two smaller rubies at the terminals. The stones are held in a claw setting within a decorative gallery featuring pierced and carved scrollwork details. The setting leads to a plain polished shank. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the interior or exterior of the band.

Condition report:
The ring exhibits wear consistent with age. The central ruby shows surface-reaching inclusions and minor abrasions to the facet edges. The gold mount displays light surface scratching and some softening to the decorative carved details.
