The maker mark W N identifies the cutler as William Needham. One side of the handle features carved foliate and scroll patterns and houses a vacant rectangular silver cartouche. The reverse scale is carved with two starburst motifs. The handle is finished with reeded silver bolsters and contains brass liners.

Condition report:

The knife is in good antique condition. The sterling silver blade exhibits surface scratching and minor tarnishing consistent with age and use. There is no evidence of significant over-sharpening or blade loss. The mother-of-pearl scales are well-preserved with no major cracks or chips visible, showing only minor edge wear. The folding mechanism remains functional.
