Description
A contemporary decorative bowl of globular form, hand-blown from aquamarine-tinted glass. The piece is slumped while molten directly onto a piece of weathered natural hardwood root, allowing the base of the glass to conform to the contours of the timber. The glass features internal air bubble inclusions throughout. This style is in the style of contemporary Balinese craftsmanship and is frequently marketed under brands such as Cohasset Gifts or Chesapeake Bay. The wood base exhibits natural weathering and surface charring where the molten glass made contact during the manufacturing process.

Condition report:
The item is in good condition. The glass is free from chips or cracks. The wood base shows natural weathering and charred areas which are inherent to the production process. Internal bubbles are a byproduct of the hand-blowing technique.
