Description
A pair of 925 silver commemorative coins struck with a proof finish. The first specimen is a 1997 Niue five-dollar coin issued to commemorate Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, featuring the inscription THE BLITZ ON LONDON 1940 on the obverse and the Niuean coat of arms on the reverse. The second specimen is a 1994 Barbados five-dollar coin featuring an engagement portrait of the Queen Mother dated 1923 on the obverse and the Barbadian coat of arms with the motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY on the reverse. Both coins are presented in clear protective capsules and display frosted devices set against mirrored fields. These coins were issued as part of international commemorative programmes celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
Condition report:
Both coins appear in choice proof condition with no visible signs of circulation, handling marks, or significant toning.
