Description
A mid-20th century die-cast model Foden eight-wheel flatbed truck produced by Dinky Supertoys. The model features a first-type cab and chassis finished in orange paint with a contrasting green-painted flatbed. It is equipped with green-painted metal hubs and rubber tyres. The underside of the chassis is embossed with the manufacturer marks Dinky Supertoys, Foden, Made in England, and Meccano Ltd. The construction includes an underslung spare wheel and a tow hook to the rear.
Condition report:
The item is in heavily play-worn condition. There is extensive paint loss across all surfaces, with significant surface oxidation visible on the exposed metal of the cab roof and chassis. The rubber tyres show advanced signs of age-related wear, including deep cracking and perishing to the tread and sidewalls, particularly evident on the spare wheel.
