Description
A collection of two vintage powder compacts. The first is a circular Stratton compact featuring a deep blue enamel lid decorated with a water lily motif. This item is accompanied by its original black fabric pouch and a branded cardboard box marked Made in England. The second is a heart-shaped gold-tone metal compact, identified as a Cherie model by Kigu. The exterior features an engine-turned sunburst pattern with a central rectangular cartouche. The interior is marked Cherie PATENTED and contains a mirror and a powder compartment with a hinged inner lid bearing a small crown emblem.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit signs of use and age consistent with vintage pieces. There are light surface scratches to the metal and enamel surfaces. Some tarnishing is present on the gold-tone finishes. Residual cosmetic powder remains in the compartments. The mirrors are intact. The Stratton box shows shelf wear to the edges and corners. Overall in good vintage condition.
