Description
A German Notgeld 10 Pfennig emergency coin issued by the City of Bonn, dated 1920. Struck in a grey base metal, the obverse features a profile portrait of composer Ludwig van Beethoven with the inscriptions BEETHOVEN, BONN 1770, and 1920. The reverse displays the denomination 10 within the text STADT BONN PFENNIG. The coin is presented in a square, black textured cardboard flip that includes handwritten identification in gold-coloured ink reading 1920 10 PFENNIG BONN GERMAN NOTGELD.
Condition report:
The coin exhibits surface oxidation, pitting, and wear consistent with age and the use of base metals. The cardboard mount shows minor edge scuffing.
