Description
A vintage Kodak Duaflex pseudo-twin lens reflex camera manufactured by Kodak Limited in London, England. The camera body is constructed from black Bakelite featuring vertical ribbed metal trim in the Art Deco style. The front faceplate is inscribed with the text Made in England by Kodak Limited London and Kodak Duaflex. It is designed for use with 620 roll film. The optical system consists of a fixed-focus taking lens and a large brilliant type viewfinder lens positioned above. This lot includes a fitted brown leather ever-ready carrying case with snap closures, a black braided cord neck strap, and an additional brown canvas protective bag with a green fabric interior lining.
Condition report:
The camera is in fair vintage condition. Visible oxidation and pitting are present on the silver-toned metal trim, with small deposits of verdigris noted in the corner grooves and around screw heads. The Bakelite body and textured side panels remain intact. Both the viewfinder and taking lens exhibit internal haze and surface dust. Mechanical functions, including the shutter and film transport, are untested. The leather carrying case shows significant scuffing and wear consistent with age.
