Description
A 9 carat gold pendant necklace featuring a teardrop shaped openwork pendant. The pendant is decorated with scrolling foliate filigree motifs in the Edwardian style. At the centre of the pendant is a circular cut gemstone of a deep brownish red hue, consistent with a garnet, held in a multi claw setting. The pendant is suspended from a fine 9 carat gold trace link chain. The chain is secured with a standard bolt ring clasp. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the item.
Length: approximately princess length.
Condition report:
The item is in good overall condition with minor surface wear and light tarnishing consistent with age and use. The gemstone settings and bolt ring clasp appear functional.
