The piece is fashioned from a dark, dense hardwood featuring a polished finish and a visible patina. The birds are positioned upon a textured naturalist base, intricately carved with patterns representing reeds and broad leaves. The style of carving and subject matter are consistent with mid-20th century Balinese artisan work. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the sculpture.
