Description
A collection of numismatic items issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Concorde supersonic aircraft. The group includes a 2019 Guernsey Supersonic Concorde 50th Anniversary Fifty Pence Collection presentation folder containing three 50p coins mounted alongside technical specifications and diagrams. Also included are two Supersonic Concorde coin cards, each featuring an artistic depiction of the aircraft with an embedded 50p coin in a protective plastic sleeve. The collection is completed by a United Kingdom 50p presentation card containing a commemorative coin marked Concorde 21 January 1976. The coins are struck in cupro-nickel and feature various reverse designs celebrating the aircraft history, including in-flight and runway scenes.
Condition report:
The coins appear to be in brilliant uncirculated condition. The presentation folders and cards are in good condition, with some items still housed in original clear plastic protective sleeves. Very light shelf wear to the card edges.
