Description
This lot comprises a 1965 Winston Churchill commemorative five-shilling crown, a colourised medallion, and a certificate of authenticity. The 1965 crown is minted in silver-plated cupro-nickel, featuring the obverse profile of Queen Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick with the Latin inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F. D. and the date. The reverse displays a portrait of Winston Churchill by Oscar Nemon. The second item is a modern commemorative medallion presented in a clear protective capsule, showing a colourised profile of Churchill over a Union Jack background. The collection includes a printed specification card and certificate of authenticity from The Historic Coins of Great Britain.
