Description
A commemorative 50 dollar silver proof coin issued by the Republic of the Marshall Islands in 1995 as part of the Aviation Heritage series. The coin features the Panavia Tornado multi-role combat aircraft. Struck in .999 fine silver, the coin is housed in a protective clear plastic capsule and mounted onto a large-format descriptive presentation card. The cardstock sheet, bearing the Westminster logo, includes a colour photograph of the aircraft in flight, portraits of pilots, and extensive text detailing the history and technical specifications of the Tornado. The sheet is pre-punched for inclusion in a binder system. According to the printed text, the edition was limited to 25,000 pieces.
Condition report:
The coin remains in its protective capsule and appears to be in excellent condition. The presentation card shows light handling wear and minor creasing to the edges and corners consistent with storage.
