Description
A Burmese blue marble statue of a seated Buddha in the Mandalay style. The figure is carved from blue marble with a translucent off-white appearance and a polished finish. The Buddha is depicted in the Bhumisparsha mudra, seated in a cross-legged lotus position upon a tiered, double-lotus pedestal. Anatomical and iconographic features include a pointed ushnisha, elongated earlobes, and a robe draped over the left shoulder. The reverse shows the continuation of the robe and the textured carving of the hair and ushnisha.

Condition report:
The statue is in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. Minor surface variations are consistent with the natural properties of the blue marble.
