Description
This late 19th or early 20th-century wooden side chair features a shaped plywood seat attributed to Luterma. The seat is decorated with a perforated circular pattern and is secured to the frame with brass-headed tacks. The chair’s construction includes turned front legs and a matching turned front stretcher, while the side and rear stretchers consist of simple round rungs. The backrest is composed of two horizontal slats between plain uprights.
Condition report:
The item exhibits age-appropriate wear, including significant finish loss on the seat and backrest. There are various scuffs and scratches throughout the wooden frame. At least one brass tack is missing from the edge of the seat.
