Description
A trio of Royal Mint philatelic numismatic covers featuring commemorative United Kingdom one pound coins. The collection comprises a 1984 Brilliant Uncirculated Scottish £1 Coin cover with a thistle-motif coin and the motto Nemo Me Impune Lacessit, postmarked 24 April 1984 at Llantrisant. The second item is a 1985 First Day of Issue Welsh £1 Coin cover featuring the leek design, postmarked 22 April 1985 at Llantrisant. The final item is a 1999 A Parliament for Scotland cover, numbered 08729, which displays thematic stamps and a Scottish-themed coin with an Edinburgh postmark dated 1 July 1999. Each cover contains an inset uncirculated coin and related commemorative stamps with official first-day-of-issue cancellations.
Condition report:
The collection is in good condition. There is evidence of light age-related toning to the paper of the 1985 Welsh cover. The coins appear in uncirculated condition as issued.
