Description
A very Rare 19th-century Bohemian cobalt blue cut-to-clear glass vase. The piece is constructed from clear glass with a deep blue overlay and features a tapered body. The exterior is decorated with large gilded floral motifs and foliage. The design incorporates large cut-to-clear oval and teardrop facets around the lower body, with smaller facets at the neck. The vase stands on a stepped, circular footed base with corresponding blue and gold ornamentation.
Condition report:
Fair to good condition. There is significant rubbing and loss to the gilded decoration throughout the piece. This wear is particularly evident on the base and the raised blue sections of the glass.
